It's all about the Improvement!

Improving educational outcomes is at the core of everything we do at Skoolbo. It is our reason for being and we are nothing short of obsessed with it. Skoolbo may look and feel like a game, but every component has the underlying rationale of maximizing student improvement. Importantly, Skoolbo is a learning company that uses games as the central medium for learning. It is not a gaming company that simply adds some learning.

"What I like most about Skoolbo is the differentiated instructions for my students. This helps them learn at their own level even when challenging friends who may be at a higher or lower level. I appreciate that someone else has done the hard work of figuring out where the student is as well as moving them up and challenging them when they have achieved mastery."

Ms. Adrienne Unertl,
Clark Elementary School
Wyoming, USA

"While other education games struggle with a balance of learning and fun, Skoolbo has created an engaging, challenging, and rewarding app that my students don’t want to put down! It is my goal to invest more Skoolbo time for the rest of my class for the remainder of the year."

Mr Paul Hobson,
King-Chávez Arts Academy
San Diego, CA, USA

What Do Other Teachers Say?

"One feature my students love is that they can play with each other - this makes the game super competitive and keeps them interested. As they win races, students build points which can be used to buy accessories, vehicles, etc. The kids love this app - it is fun, it is rewarding, and they like the colorful graphics. In addition to all this, the teacher can see all kinds of diagnostics and reports that relate to what each student is studying and how they are performing. I love this feature." - Ms. Fuller, Teacher, Illinois, USA
"Skoolbo is another favorite app that our district has been working hard with the developers to get this free app working with our demand. Our children LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this app! You get to use the skills of reading, math, grammar and spelling to race against friends or other students playing at the same time. They even love “versing me!" - Mrs. Smith, Teacher, Maine
"I just want you to know how much my kids love Skoolbo. So many of the programs for kids these days cost money and we don’t have the funds to purchase those so it is so nice to see someone provide an awesome program for the kids for free. I will definitely spread the word. I love this program!"
- Ms. McMullen, Computer Teacher, Kansas
"Of all the apps I have tried (trust me when I tell you it’s 100′s), yours has had the best reaction from the students!" - A teacher from Illinois
"Thank you so much for this program. I have a young man in 4th grade who has a severe reading disability and SKOOLBO has been one of the programs he has taken to!!! We are so excited to see how much he has improved. Thanks a million…" - A teacher from Florida
"The illustrations are beautiful and eye catching. The students then take three test rounds to determine their level of learning. The round gets progressively more difficult as the correct answers are selected. Test in the desert, snow and ice and the jungle, as well as listen to cool music. My students beg to work with this app. As a teacher, I really appreciate the research that went into this app. Literacy areas cover letter names and sounds, fluency development and vocabulary, as well as comprehension, grammar and spelling. Numeracy covers number development, addition and subtraction, telling time as well as multiplication and division. The developers have taken into account US common core standards, the UK national curriculum as well as Australian curriculum. One of the neatest bits of information I found out about the developers is they are from four continents and seven countries. Talk about a truly global app."
